9月19日，阿曼国家队官方宣布，主教练希尔哈维离任。希尔哈维现年62岁，2024年2月1日接任阿曼国家队主帅，带队6场，3胜1平2负。9月的两场18强赛，阿曼分别0-1不敌伊拉克、1-3不敌韩国。

9月20日，澳大利亚国家队官方宣布，阿诺德告知澳大利亚足协，决定辞去主教练一职，董事会接受了这一决定。波波维奇上任后率领澳大利亚队主场击败中国、客场战平日本。
