报道称，若滕哈赫在本周日对维拉的比赛后帅位不保，助教范尼有望临时接手球队。不过，范尼担心自己会被视为背叛滕哈赫。

范尼此前执教埃因霍温时就曾有过类似的经历，2023年春，范尼曾指责自己的助教和队内几名资深球员背着他与俱乐部董事会密谋。最终在仅执教球队一个赛季后，范尼与埃因霍温分道扬镳。

今夏，范尼拒绝了执教伯恩利的机会，加盟曼联担任滕哈赫助教。荷兰方面的一位消息人士表示：“范尼是个有原则的人，他觉得自己在埃因霍温遭到了背叛，不希望被视为背叛滕哈赫的那个人。”

有消息称，滕哈赫和范尼之间关系有点紧张，因此有人猜测范尼是英力士今夏雇来准备在需要的时候取代滕哈赫。
